Inside the Workshop: How Every Decrum Jacket Is Made

These are our own videos, filmed at the bench, in the photo studio and in the warehouse. Watch the stitching, the hardware, the checks and the packing that go into a jacket before it reaches you.

The process

From the Bench to Your Door in Five Steps

Every jacket passes the same five stations. One video plays at a time; tap any video to pause or play it.

01

Stitched on the Bench, Guided by Hand

Industrial machines do the sewing, but a craftsman steers every inch of it. They keep the stitch length even and the line straight around pockets and zips, because a seam that wanders is where a jacket starts to give.

02

Snaps and Studs, Set One at a Time

Every snap and stud goes in by hand with a setting tool, then gets pressed and tugged to check it holds. It is slow work, and it keeps the hardware in place through years of opening and closing.

03

Checked Inside and Out Before It Moves On

Each finished jacket is looked over by hand: the shape, the lining, the pockets, the label and every stitch line. Only then does the tag go on.

Photographed in Our Own Studio

We shoot our product photos in our own studio, on the jackets themselves and under the same light. The color and texture you see on the product page are what arrive at your door.
