Leather Jacket Size Chart
Two ways to find your size: measure your chest and match column A, or measure a jacket you already wear and match column B. Both charts are below, in inches and centimetres.
How to Measure
You need a soft tape measure. Use either method below, or both — they should point to the same row.
Method A — measure yourself
Run the tape around the fullest part of your chest or bust, under the arms and level across the back. Men, measure over a t-shirt. Women, wear what you would normally have on under the jacket. Keep the tape snug against the body without pressing in, and read the number breathing normally rather than holding air in. Match that figure to the Your Chest or Your Bust column.
Method B — measure a jacket you own
Take a well-fitting, non-stretch jacket, lay it flat and zip it up. Measure straight across from armpit to armpit just below the seams, then double that number. Match the result to the Jacket Chest or Garment Bust column.

Lay a well-fitting, non-stretch jacket flat and zipped. Measure armpit to armpit below the seams, double it, then match the Garment Bust column.

How the Cuts Differ
Same measurement, different shape. The cut decides where a jacket sits and how much room it leaves through the body.
Biker
Cut close through the chest and short in the body, with an asymmetric zip that pulls the front across.
Cafe Racer
The cleanest line in the range. Slim through the body, short at the hem, minimal collar.
Bomber
Ribbed cuffs and hem, wider through the body, shorter overall. The roomiest shape here and the easiest one to wear over a jumper.
Harrington
Shirt collar, straight body, finishes at the hip. Sits close at the waist without pulling at the shoulder.
Trucker
Boxier through the body with a squared yoke, buttons rather than a zip. Reads roomier than a biker at the same measurement.
Blazer
Structured shoulder, longer body, worn open as often as closed.
Coat
Car coats and 3/4 lengths are cut to go over other clothes, so they carry more room through the chest by design.

If Your Measurement Sits Between Two Rows
Use method B. Take a jacket you already wear comfortably, measure it armpit to armpit, double it, and find the closest figure in the Jacket Chest or Garment Bust column. That number reflects the room you already know you like, so it settles the question faster than the body measurement on its own.

Questions
How should a leather jacket fit?
Close through the chest and shoulders with room to move your arms, and no pulling across the back when you reach forward. The shoulder seam should sit on the edge of your shoulder rather than below it.

How do I measure my chest for a jacket?

What is the difference between the two columns?
Column A is your own body measurement. Column B is the finished measurement of the jacket itself, so you can compare it against something already hanging in your wardrobe.
Does leather change with wear?
Lambskin softens and moulds to your shape across the shoulders and elbows over time. It settles rather than growing a size, and it does not shrink back afterwards.
