Wrapped up in this on a cold morning and realised I had not thought about the cold once, which is a first for me. The length does most of the work and it is barely noticeable on the shoulders. The colour is a warm light brown that goes with everything I own. There has been no fuss about care at all. I had put aside twice what it cost.
Coats in my wardrobe are either far too heavy or far too flimsy and there has never been anything in between. This has landed exactly in the middle. The longer length is what I had been after and it drapes rather than standing away from the body. The light brown has a warm depth in daylight and the surface is soft with a fine matte nap. I had budgeted nearly double what it cost and put the difference towards boots.
Mid length is exactly what I had been looking for and almost nothing on the high street had it at a sensible price. This does, and it hangs beautifully. The colour is warm and the surface soft and matte, and I spent well under what I had budgeted.
Walks along the seafront in February are a proper test of any coat and this has passed more than once. The extra length keeps the wind off, which is the whole reason I wanted something longer. It drapes cleanly from the shoulder rather than standing away from the body. The light brown has a warm depth in daylight and looks softer under cloud. The surface is fine and matte with a short even nap. It is far lighter than it looks, so I can wear it for hours without my shoulders aching. It has been out in drizzle several times and dried flat with no marks left behind. There is no conditioning or treating to worry about, just a brush every so often. My sister asked where it came from and did not believe the price. It has replaced a heavy coat I had been dreading putting on each morning.
